Who is jake barlow?
Senior Staff Designer & UX Manager - Google Search
As a UX lead in Social Impact verticals for over 3 years, supporting 40+ cross-functional partners (PM, Eng, UX, GPP) in 4 teams across MTV, SF, NYC, DC, and EMEA, and a principle architect of the Search Design System, I have had a measurably positive impact on Search and Google’s brand through more than a dozen launches for education, civics, and elections resulting in increased engagement and positive press, promoting product excellence and increasing launch velocity for product teams by providing principled guidance, contributing as UX lead in Search quality improvement efforts, and creating design tools and tutorials for peers.

Occasional Illustrator
I’ve loved drawing ever since I could hold a crayon, and I've taught myself how to draw and paint in every medium from charcoal to digital. I don’t get to do it professionally as much these days, but I have recently self-published this children’s book, Oodles of Poodles (sample), and still draw occasional cartoons of Puddin’ Don’t… (Buy print books on Amazon: Puddin' Don't Fetch: Among other things, Puddin' Don't... but Puddy Does!, and Puddin' Don't Always Wear Black & White.)
